Why I Love This Recipe

FEATURING: Garlic or garlic scapes.

Here’s a delicious vinaigrette recipe that I was given and that I now often make for all kinds of salads (arugula-raspberry, spinach-pomegrenate, lettuce-tomato-cucumber-avocado, etc.) Did I mention it’s almost always an instant hit & that you’ll likely be asked for the recipe if you make it?

Ingredients You’ll Need

1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
2 tsp brown sugar
1 garlic scape, minced (or 1 clove garlic, minced)
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp ground pepper
3/4 cup olive oil

Directions

1. In a large Mason jar or bowl, mix the balsamic vinegar, brown sugar, garlic, salt and pepper.

2. Slowly drizzle in the olive oil as you keep mixing. Mix well and/or close the Mason jar and shake well until you have a homogeneous vinaigrette.

3. Serve on your favorite salad and keep the rest in a closed jar in the fridge. It should keep approx. 1 week.
